Social Entrepreneurship
I learned how to identify social entrepreneurship opportunities in this online class offered by Copenhagen Business School. My favorite part of the class was working with a student to create Surplus2Service.
Soft Power Evaluation Framework
- I developed the Soft Power Evaluation Framework as a way to measure the degree of authenticity of Russian sites of soft power.
- Existing indexes include:
- Global Soft Power Index by Brand Finance;
- Soft Power 30 by Portland;
- The IFG-Monocle Soft Power Index;
- Global Soft Power Index (IMF); and
- The HEPI Soft Power Index.
- I wanted to create a way for the average person to determine if a site of soft power is trustworthy or coercive.
- The first version of this framework includes the categories:
- Institutional
- Facilitated
- Coercive
- Sharp Power
- Strategic, and
- Manipulative.
- I used a mathematical formula to factor in considerations of:
- authenticity;
- communication accessibility;
- institutional independence;
- scale/reach; and
- impact/ effectiveness.
